Submissions

If you would like to submit work for future issues of Interlude please use the following guidelines:

Interlude is not a “theme”-based magazine and we view contributions on any subject. However, we ask you to read the following guidelines carefully if you would like to submit work.

All pages in this publication are “designed” by the contributor to the following format:
Width: 18.6cm, Height 22.6cm

It is important to consider your work in relation to the page size. This is one of the main criteria for success. Works formatted incorrectly are less likely to be considered for inclusion.

Please bear in mind that if your design is close to one or more edges of the page, 3-5mm can be lost in the production process.

Electronic work is preferred as a word document, jpeg, tiff or pdf file. Please also supply the title of your work and name the fonts you have used so that we can ensure your work appears as intended. If submitting material by post, do not send originals, as they will not be returned.

At the current time, Interlude is mainly a black and white magazine and there is little room for work in colour (although we hope to expand this in the future). Submitting work in black and white will greatly increase your chance of success.

It is up to the contributors (if they feel the need to do so) to provide any background material about themselves and their work or any brief contact details they would like to feature on their page(s). There is no place, in Interlude, for lengthy resumés, so we encourage authors to assess the relevance of their information to the work submitted.

Interlude is starting out as a self-supported publication therefore, although we cannot pay, each successful contributor will receive a free copy of the magazine as well as the opportunity to buy up to 10 more copies at a discounted rate.
